Like the guiding wind, she holds his hands And helps him traverse his haunting past To fight his demons and open his eyes Towards his destiny beyond the lands

A journey not meant for the weak willed But she trusts him like the earth does with man She will guide him through the traps filled Before he succumbs to the falling sands

He looks at her with an unwavering gaze And wonders where this light came from And why she pulled him out of the void And reignited the feelings that once went numb

He knows he will diminish her light

And tries to let go of her hands

But she holds on to the hope he never had And is willing to make the last stand
