Tidying Up My Room

By Ashwi Goyal

Last Tuesday I decided to tidy up room. Well my room room’s condition was not that great. I had to tightrope walk from the door to the bed, do that I did not pierce or hurt my foot. My clothes, shoes, slippers, mask, paintbrushes, pens, books, jackets were all lying in a mess on the floor. To find any of the stuff I just had to scan the floor and it rally was not that hard. It was way too easy. But then my parents had been scolding me for a really long time to clean up my room. So I started doing just that. I picked up all the things and put in on the bed. Then I cleaned the floor. Then I just pushed everything off the bed. I started dusting the bed, but I was halfway through it when I realized all the dust would go back to the floor again since the fan was on. I became fed up and I had not yet started.

Then I put all my things in place. Clothes for washing, books in the shelves, games in the cupboard used cutleries for washing and all my stationaries in the pouch. Just as I finished putting the last thing into place my mother came into the room. She was very surprised. She could not believe what she was seeing. She congratulated me for successfully cleaning my room. She then said we had to attend a function and I had to get ready in fifteen minutes. I decided I would wear my blue dress. I went to my cupboard in search of the dress. It took me around five minutes just to find that dress. It had been much easier searching for it in the floor. And as I was searching for that dress my whole cupboard became a mess again. I was horrified and realized keeping things arranged was not my forte. After the incident I decided I would never clean or tidy my room ever again.
