Thunder Rambles

I got out of bed to write

After Taylor ruined my sleep

We’re in a storm

Are you thinking of me?

I called when this happened to you

Are you fumbling on your phone, reflecting

whether to call, leave a message? Blue

check haunts you, I fear. Deflecting.

I think you value space over my safety

But of course, I am overreacting

For what is a raging storm compared to a boundary

Of a lesbian breakup, four months and counting

Did you rip the stickers from your iPad?

Are my doodles still in there?

What did you do with the rest? I’d be mad

If you burn them, I swear.

It’s raining, and I’m writing

(What) a sad cliché

I’m becoming evil,

Imagining you on a toupee

So, are you gonna text me yet?

I know you won’t, but bet.
