Thrill

The joys of words, scribbled on paper, it all faded,

what is left behind,

never important.

So on,

in the midst of daylight,

a page- folded,

lost its reason of life.

Beneath the scorching sun,

and the wind's hightides,

matchsticks lie,

next to ashes once lived.

Memories burnt,

yet, a smile traced,

as water sprinkled,

the unexplained thrill.

We cheered bright, fame framed,

whilst their whispers turned to ash, the quiet crimes-untaken names, walked past - untouched, unseen.
