Thoughts On A Train
By Ashwin Ramanathan
Leaning back against the silent motion I watch sights float by
Small lights disappearing as soon as they come by
Not a sight nor a scenery… but just some pale light at a distance
A small train runs inside similar to what I’m inside… with thoughts that come and go, just like faded lights
All that comes and goes doesn’t necessarily have any meaning …. I understand that meaning gives ambiguity and ambiguity leads to assumptions
Instead I choose to watch them as they go by …..
A sense of calm prevails in my chest …. One that is mix of drowsiness and relief……..
I think maybe this is all that I want out of life…. A persisting feeling that doesn’t care of the past nor concerned of the future ……
No questions no answers….. just me leaning back and watching fading lights at a distant sight …..
