Thoughts Full Of Wonder

In a small town in the very heart of India there lived a small boy

His mind always full of joy,

This boy had a great imagination,

But he was shy and avoided conversation.

In all his time he had alone,

He pondered upon the things that were much known

Once, instead of wondering about 2011,

His mind wondered how everything would be in 2047.

How would his own country be?

From the Bay of Bengal to the Arabian Sea.

Would Global Warming affect the environment?

His mind wondered in decipherment.

Would there be an advancement in technology?

Would there be a discovery in Biology?

Maybe there would be flying cars,

Or you could go for a vacation to Mars.

Oh, after all he was a small boy,

His mind was always happy and full of joy.

Maybe he himself could do something for the world,

Perhaps a way to go into the micro-world.

Maybe some people would be living on the moon,

Although that wouldn’t be soon.

People would be cleaning the ocean,

The world would be moving in such a quick motion.

Oh, after all he was just a small boy,

His mind was eternally full of joy.

People would be making humongous skyscrapers,

Would people still use newspapers?

He sighed, he had thought a load,

His curiosity was a gift he had been bestowed.

He grinned as he lay in wonder,

He closed his eyes as his mind wandered yonder.

India will become an amazing place,

Its technology moving at an unprecedented pace

It being always full of greenery,

Almost as if it is a scenery.

India will have produced many great people,

Its knowledge growing like a tall steeple.

India is a country that makes you feel proud

With songs of patriotism sung aloud.

Sprouting in each and every place there would be colleges,

With everyone smart, bright and sharp

Sharper than the sharpest of edges.

Oh after all he was just a small boy,

His mind never not full of joy

One hundred complete years of independence,

All with India’s continued ascendence

His love for India never ending,

His patriotism for it never bending.

One thing that remained the same was India’s tradition,

Its tradition was something that had no disposition

The people of India would be living in peace and harmony,

That was how he decided everything would be

Oh, after all he was a small boy…with a mature mind

His patriotism knowing no binds.
