हम रंग को भी बाँट ले धर्म के हिसाब से

मगर रंग का क्या धर्म हो

जरा यह भी सोचना

हम आसमा भी बाँट ले धर्म के हिसाब से

सूरज मेरा चाँद तुम्हारा

या चाँद मेरा सूरज तुम्हारा

मगर अनगिनत सितारों का क्या हो

जरा यह भी सोचना

हम नीर भी बाँट ले धर्म के हिसाब से

गंगा मेरी आबे जम जम तुम्हारा

मगर गिरती बारिश का क्या हो

जरा यह भी सोचना..

हम तरीके ए इबादत भी बाँट ले

धर्म के हिसाब से

हाथ जोड़ों तो बने प्रर्थना मेरी

हाथ खोलो तो बने दुआ तुम्हारी

मगर सर झुकाने का क्या हो

जरा यह भी सोचना

और जब बाँट लिया जाए सब कुछ

तो यह धरती भी बाँट कर देखते हैं

अपने अपने अहं की रेखा

इस पर भी खाँच कर देखते हैं

लकीर के इस पार मेरा

लकीर के उस पार तुम्हारा

पर लकीर पर ही खड़े इंसान का क्या हो

जरा यह भी सोचना ……
