The harmonies of memories

Flash by me

Some notes of melancholy

Some notes of glee


I strolled past those classrooms

Those like a second home

And past that playground

Where I used to roam





The smell of paper

And hushed words

Pen fights

Rock paper scissors

Candy wrappers stashed

Secretly in pockets

And the last bite of a shared lunch fought over


The bell rings for the final time

As my heart becomes heavy

The harmonies of memories flash by me

As I left that building

I cherished so lovingly…
