This Is Life

This is life all about give and take,

make it great your future is at stake.

What you do is going to bounce back,

This guy named Karma is right on your track.

Your parents came first,

then their curiosity was at thirst.

Then came you,

they started doing something they had no clue.

It all started with a rattle, cradle, and bottle,

Your sudden movement and everyone startled.

They played with you just like their age got reversed,

Appreciation came out every time you conversed.

The garden outside the house thrives with happiness and flower,

Forgiveness came after all your mistakes and kept you as a four-leaf clover.

Summer, rain, and winter passed and you grew little every day,

They stood beside, helped, and guided you along the way.

Soon you got so much bigger, bigger than their expectations,

Additional responsibilities came along and so did the emotional fluctuations.

Since your life was picking up, and you left to explore,

Without thinking about the tear, that stood near the wooden door.

and you never looked back, never for a single thing,

You were too busy with your companion just after your wedding ring.

Later you went too far, far away from the garden lawn,

They stood there looking outside for you until it was dawn.

Years passed, business was growing with the demands,

Fulfilling those and time was not under your commands.

Tasted success and the bank was full of green paper,

it was so amazing living with your wife in that skyscraper.

Happiness and cheerfulness came thereafter and so did the third generation,

The youngster had a different mentality and then you saw a repetition.

Ignoring the red flags and Fulfilling demands based on their required satisfaction,

After understanding what you have done, came a great realization.

You cried

You came back for forgiveness, but time has passed,

You saw two tombstones with your parent's name iron cast.

Now Things said and done could not be undone,

The only chance you had, was when it was all begun.

That's why the poet says

This is life all about give and take,

make it great your future is at stake.
