This Earth So Unearthly

Updated: Jun 12, 2023

Innocent eyes and an ear-to-ear grin,

Withered off by the pressure to win,

Delicate shoulders and wobbly little legs,

Forced straight up by the heavy-laden bags,

Curious brain and a heartwarming laughter,

Forced shut by the discipline of the master,

A pure heart filled up to the brim with love,

Emptied of it sits in the corner being cuffed,

A soul so pure and a believer of God,

Was brought up being cheated by frauds,

From pinky promises to god swears,

Gifted was the child a body that lay bare,

Taught was the child never to trust,

As built of dark secrets is the Earth up to the crust,

When the time had come to fly from the nest,

Feel free and live up to its best,

Lost its wings it had been caring for with zest,

Stuck helpless in a world so big,

With monsters on its side trying to force their way in,

Screams muffled by the pressure to win,

Efforts to run were failed due to the grip,

The hands holding the child were a bit too strong,

Unlike the softness of a mother's kiss,

And the safety of a father’s hug,

What the monsters did was a large bit strong,

Reckless and a whole lot hellish,

The child lay numb and wrapped in a sheet,

That was soaked in blood and retching,

Couldn't see the eyes once bright,

Couldn't feel the hands once delicate,

Couldn't walk the legs once wobbly,

Coulnt live a child so lively,

Cause suffered it had through the hands of the devil,

The deeds of whom had doomed all peril,

Cause made this world we have so unworldly,

We still living here on this Earth so unearthly.

We still living here on this Earth so unearthly.
