Thinking While Sleeping

My body unconscious

my brain alive

my brain running,

to keep these thoughts alive

as they tingle my senses

trying to wake me up;

nevertheless my body snores,

trying to avoid the alarm like thoughts,

trying to find peace in slumber,

to not have to think any further.

The world grew older

the drowse grew deeper

into the roots of the heart

almost making it defunct.

And as the dew of the slumber

finally settles over my body,

my thoughts just kiss me a final goodbye.
