Come to the road side corner any morning

You see a boy dark and thin

He is an oprhan and an urchin

Awaiting his meals at the dust bin

Three dogs on the other side waiting their turn

They have to feed their puppies in turn

Don't we get something to learn?

How difficult it is, a meal to earn

The dogs are strong and hunt together

The boy is weak and no one to bother

The dogs are called to the doors and fed

The boy hardly succeeds to win a bread

Cute names are given to every dog

The boy is however called a dog

Little kids soothe the dogs with affection

Elders look at the boy with suspicion

There comes a lady with a soiled bag

The bag is cleaner than the boy's rag

All the four animals take position

To welcome the breakfast, it come as and when

The lady throws the bag from quite a distance

It falls in the bin, tears and opens

The dogs have struck their luck again

One more attempt of the boy goes in vain

This is not the story of just one day

Such people hardly get a meal per day

It's said every dog has to die one day

But such people have to die every day

Don't ever ignore them and behave rude

They just seek your love and some food.
