They barged in…

They barged in –

Belittling the man.

The man once hailed,

Now a quivering mess

Faced by the work of a system

Designed to squash the weak,

Celebrate the mighty.

All eyes on him

Scrutinizing his little successes,

Treading on his pride,

Obliterating his life.

Whilst just a breath away,

Another, plods along in a safety bubble

Hefty sums exchanged

In hushed places,

Protecting the protected,

Securing the secured.
