Then, I Met You…

Not the beauty of your face taught the world to shine.

Under the dark blue skies, countless others carried their own beauty past me.

Rather, something quieter began to bloom whenever you were near.

Drinking coffee somehow tastes different now.

And I blame your smile for making it sweet.

Never have I seen you let sorrow steal your light.

In every season of sadness, your smile still finds a way to stay.

Every ordinary moment now feels different.

Little by little, I began to cherish your presence.

And slowly, I began to see the world differently.

And maybe the world was never cruel at all.

Does your magic work on me now? Because…

I find myself searching for your silhouette in every crowded room.

Love is not just about admiring beauty.

And maybe now I understand what your magic was.

How you never changed the world, only the way my heart sees it.
