The Words Of A Cancerian

Being born with such a terrible illness

Just at two my life became a mess.

What mistake did I commit-

That with this illness I was knit?

Till deep inside I feel the pain

When the needles are pierced into my vein.

Tears roll down from these twinkling eyes

Gradually, not the pain but the tear dries.

It was agonizing to see my hair fall on the bed,

Until one day I completely shaved my head.

Blood gets thick and clots everywhere,

This anguish I can no longer bare.

Yet there is lots of hope and courage within;

For this battle with a smile I will win.

‘Cause cancer has only made me stronger

And I will not endure it any longer.
