The Wonders Of The World

By Arlene Nayak

Clear skies stretch across the wide

abyss of earth

Clouds float in the sky

Trees curve up to the skyline.

Long, blades of grass blow in the wind

Flowers shine brightly,

Their stems reaching up to touch the sky

Speckles of purple, yellow, and pink.

The sun playfully hides

Peeking through the trees

The stars gleam in the dark sky

The moon shines down on the ground.

Rivers and creeks wind through the bushes

Oceans stretch for miles on end

The rain gently pours down

Behold, the wonders of the world.
