The weight on my chest

My chest feels heavier than it has in years,

But I suppose it never was free-

My chest always having that weight on me.

It felt like hollowness was trying to claw its way out

From my chest to my throttle

The bile rising and ripping through my throat

Like a rotten mandarin stuck in there,

But it is still present there

Heavy on my chest.

Maybe my ribs are too small to contain all the void in my heart.

She asks me what's wrong

She asks me what's wrong.

And by god I want to tell her,

But not a word forms in my mouth.

Maybe the heaviness on my chest weights on my tongue also.
