The Warmth of Coffee
I stare
out the
windows
at the
passing clouds
nonchalantly,
As I sip
the warmth
of the coffee
cup.
I take
an ink pen
and a paper
and start
writing poetry,
As I sip
the warmth
of the coffee
cup.
I breathe
in the air
passionately,
flawlessly,
slowly,
As I sip
the warmth
of the coffee
cup.
An Ardent Passion
I yearn
to move forwards
in my chosen path
of being the author
of many different
written books.
I yearn
to move forwards
like a river current
flows freely.
I write
passionately,
with the speed
of white lightning
and clear rain.
I yearn
to move forwards
just like
an eagle
spreads its wings
in the morning
sky.
I yearn
to move forwards,
my eyes
shining ardently
with my newfound
passion
for the written
word.
The Wildheaded Fox
I am the wildheaded fox
standing amongst
the lifelessness
of the autumn
leaves.
I am the wildheaded fox
with the golden
and amber
eyes ablaze
with robust,
fierce passion.
I am the wildheaded fox
baring its teeth
at the trespassers
with no place
here.
I am the wildheaded fox
surrounded by
acorns
the color
of copper.
I am the wildheaded fox
standing on
the gritty rust
of the fence.
The Midnight Rain
Water drops fall from the midnight rain,
polishing the earth from the midnight rain.
The night glows lightly and cosmically,
as the water falls from the midnight rain.
People run outside to seek the rain,
while the water continues to drop from the midnight rain.
I too run outside in excitement,
the poet splashing the lane from the midnight rain.
The Loneliness of The Desert
The climate
of the desert
is a scorching
display of heat.
With the sun
hovering above
the lonely desert,
stepping foot
onto the sand
is like setting
yourself
up for death.
The wind
blows strongly
with an
ambitious drive.
The desert
is one
lonely place,
having been
completely
forsaken
by its own
people..
A Global Village
Thousands
of countries
arrive at
the venues
of Global Village.
The men
dance with
rifles
and canes.
The women
dance with
flowing dresses.
The students
take their
positions
at the clubs,
Ready to
celebrate
cultural day
in Abu Dhabi.
The Ocean's Love
The ocean loves me,
with the way it splashes wild,
I feel invincible.
Friends of Nature
We sit peacefully,
smiling at the sun warmly,
perched on the lush grass.
The Price of Sacrifice
There is an old tree
that had weathered
countless centuries
of history.
It had seen plenty
of legendary events
happen in the span
of five hundred
centuries.
One such incident
had never left
the old tree's mind.
It was the meeting
with a certain
nightingale.
The nightingale
had bled herself
into a rose
until there was
but a drop
of blood left
in her.
All for a human,
who had
ended up
abandoning
the rose
after his lover
had forsaken him.
Oh, that silly nightingale!
Sacrificing herself
for one
selfish human
and his lover!
Fallout
Oscar Wilde
wrote a story and smiled.
He didn't know Constance would
throw him out of the house for good.
Letter To A Past Friend
I am sorry
for causing you
immense anguish.
I was only trying
to soothe
your mood
in any way
I could,
but it went
horribly wrong.
You told
your friends
about what
I had done.
The worst
thing is
I can't even
blame you
for telling them.
I miss our
old memories
where we
laughed
and cried,
till we couldn't
anymore.
I miss when
we were playing
card games
full of dust
and watching
old films
together.
I miss how
we used to
discuss
art,
music,
and poetry
away from
everyone else.
But I know,
I know,
I know,
I know,
That nothing
will ever
spark
between us
anymore.
A Pod’s Wish
At the surface
of the ocean
lives a pod
of dolphins.
Filled with
curiosity,
they wonder
what it's like
to be
surrounded
by humanity.
They long
to be
in the
human world
to be able
to experience
their emotions
and struggles.
The dolphins
yearn to dance
the night
away under
the moonlight.
The same way
humans do
so freely,
so happily,
so deeply.
Oh, how they wish for it!
The Evanescence of The Three Travelers
Three girls travel
to the woods
in an insatiable
curiosity.
Rumor spread
that there was
a mysterious
house,
Full of demonic creatures:
unruly monsters,
ruthless vampires,
unsettling ghosts.
The girls longed
to see them
for themselves.
They reach
the threshold
of the abandoned
house.
The creatures
already move
to the entrance,
vengeance in
their eyes.
A girl shrieks,
alerting them
to the three
girls’ presence.
They begin
to march
with sturdy,
unified steps
towards
the three girls.
The girls panic,
one of them
warning
the others
to escape.
They quickly
run outside
for fear of
their lives,
never to be
seen again.
Sweater Weather
She was a finely tuned sleek sweater,
a piece of silk sweet like a love letter.
She was a piece of silk worn at dawn,
She was worn by her keeper.
She was her keeper’s favorite sweater,
a piece of silk sweet like a love letter.
She was her keeper’s precious love letter,
she was as light and soft as a feather.
She was a finely tuned sleek sweater,
a piece of silk sweet like a love letter.
A Violent Embrace
He grips the muslin-
-in his hands, a pleasin'
aura on his face, he draws
the ground to the border
in a firm embrace, an order.
the ground and the border
dance together swiftly
in a binding embrace,
swaying their thighs,
love and hate
fusing in a body,
a flawless state.
The ground and the border
collide together, a classic ensemble,
against the searing heat of the iron,
a dedicated and tender union incomparable.
He seizes the flush canvas-
-setting it against
the form sitting in boredom,
aligning the cloth with its breast,
driving the draping pins straight
into the form who screams
in pain against the anchored cloth.
The ground and the border
try to defy order,
opposing the
precise form,
refusing to submit
to their hapless owner.
He isn’t slighted by their
untimely defiance against him,
gently cutting slits into their edges,
leading them to a synchronized harmony,
the ground, the border, and the form,
united at last in their own sanctuary.
