The Void In Me

There’s an emptiness deep within

Which I thought will get filled..

But the vacuum is still evident,

Making me yearn to feel the joy

Of feeling full to the brim.

Although I saw a streak of light

Slowly entering the vacuum…

Somehow the light couldn’t sneak

Into my empty self.

I managed to make way

For the streak of hope

To fill the hollowness..

But somehow the light of hope,

Didn’t last to brighten the void in me.
