The Villain

The villain,

She’s filled with rage and agony,

She hates those around her.

She watches from afar,

Plotting their downfall.

And striking when the time is right.

She hurts and hurts,

Until there is only blood everywhere,

None of which is hers,

She’s fine, intact and content.

But is she really a rogue?

One who hates joy?

Or one who longs for it herself?

To her, does victory mean vengeance?

Or is she simply blue and numb?

The villain,

She’s insecure and scared,

She hates all that she is,

She’s misunderstood,

And really does care.

Doubting whether her being truly matters,

She hurts and hurts,

Until there is only blood everywhere,

All of which is hers,

She’s far from fine,

Broken and contrite.
