The Unattainable Moon

On rainy nights, I think about

A heavy cloud melting in the darkness.

She comes down as raindrops,

Losing her form to meet her beloved.

She falls to the ground and fills his voids.

He embraces even her shapeless form.

I wish I could be her.

But I know the day I try to reach your ground,

You would send the strongest wind

To carry me far away from your land.

And even if I become a river,

I might never find your hand.

All these thoughts come to an end

When the sky stops weeping.

As I look at the dark cloudless sky,

All I see is the real you,

The unattainable moon.
