The Train Was At Its Speed
By Suchismita Mandal
The calm shows of nature spoke volumes,
The silence of night seemed fascinating,
The cool breeze was freshening the mind,
The silhouettes of trees were appealing.
There were dreams in eyes of few,
There was monotony in some,
Some slept to dream,
Many were awake to realize.
Some tried to identify,
With their shadows forming outside
Many recognizing theirs
In midst of crowd.
Some were satisfied with their places,
Many kept on struggling,
For a search of more comfortable one,
While end of a sojourn was arriving.
So many classes, so many faces together.
Many were easily forgotten, some left impinges.
All aiming for a different destiny.
Memories of a journey, many will be forgotten, some will be cherished.
Many stations were left out,
In few the train halted.
For some destiny arrived,
For many it begun.
Irrespective, the train was at its speed.
