The pain, the choke and the fears of the unknown, The tunnel, the darkness, the roads that once seemed unknown, The mind of a girl who has in time grown.
With all by her side, her support and motivation, Dealt with her needs, wall of her protection. Little did they know, had been built another wall, One that was difficult to fall.
The ease of life with all around, Had kept this "little" girl safe and sound. Little did she know what lay ahead, And she had to face what she'd always dread.
But as she encountered the stumbling block, Miserability and bewilderment broke the lock. As the doors opened, and down came the wall, That once seemed difficult to fall.
And there she was, strong and daring, The fears turned into a flame, that's now flaring. Not a wildfire that swiped away the forest, But one where the pine and oak harvest.
As she stood strong amidst the wild, The novel ignition of no other kind. It made her realise this was always within her, The courage to do whatever the heart told her.
And from that day the "timid girl" disappeared, The one with walls around far and near. And all remained was grit, but with compassion, One who will rise despite every fall, with warmth and bastion.
