The Sky And The Shore

Like always they argued he and she

Yours or mine, whose love is more?

She was the seashore with countless sands

He was the night sky with infinite stars

And their love was as deep as sea

They were different yet souls were same

Strangers once, joined in time...

She searched for words to portray her love

Harder it was to display it so

Her waves went back in time

To gift her memories like shells to the shore

Somewhere in those

Rain drops turned into pearls..

Her waves travelled ahead in time

And borrowed her dream castles

To adorn her poems

And in the alchemy of her soul

She melted her sonnets sweet

Still her words remained imperfect, incomplete.

To portray her love for him

Words she never found...

But he was there

As always serene and calm

With much ease, grace and charm

His silent actions spoke

His love in a million little ways.

He became the rain

When she wanted to cry

He spread out a rainbow

Just to make her smile.

He coloured the clouds crimson

To see her blush in the dusk

And made golden, her sandy cheeks

He never needed words

But his silence always spoke

He spread out his arms till horizon

And wrapped her in a hug..

And then silently ask

Whose love is more?

Unlike the games they used to play before

Where he always let her win

She happily chose to lose this time

And a shooting star brightened the shore

As the Loser wins again...!!
