The Silent Graves

By Sneha Arun

So many questions that need answers

So many fears that need prayers

So many lost paths that need indication

So many feelings that need validation

So many people without any essence

So many doubts without any assurances

So many thoughts that need relief

So many insecurities that need belief

So many wounds that need care

So many hurts that lay in despair

So many words that went unheard

So many shadows that disappeared

So many layers of darkness that need light

So many broken dreams that craved sight

So many smiles that have no meaning

So many instincts that are demeaning

So many screams that remain silent

So many delights that remain prudent

So many shades without any colour

So many tastes without any flavour

So many flowers that never bloomed

So many emotions that were never groomed

So many days with endless pain

So many achievements without real gain

And all I am left with today are…

A few silent graves
