The Shift

A regular life,

A regular phase,

A regular day,

And then

The weather changed with a blink of an eye.

I felt some new freshness

Waiting to spread itself

Around me, in totality.

I felt like a breath of fresh air had

Adorned my senses

And left me enthralled

Only to gape at the newness I felt within me.

I felt the world gradually shifting

And adjusting

For something that was approaching

On a gradual yet stealthy pace.

I felt the subtle gush of drifting into

A new unknown state of captivating beauty

Of the mind

Of the body

Of the senses

And of the soul.

I felt spring in winter

And saw rain drops in summer.

Unexplained shift!

What was it?

Why was it?

These questions remained

Unanswered until date...

And I have left the yearning

To search for the answers

Because I have begun to love this

Shift in my life.

Perhaps because,

I felt new,

When I met you!
