The Shaven Soul

Head shaven clean, the robes put on,

A new reflection greets the dawn.

Yet through the dark,I wander still,

In search of a quiet will.

Fireflies dance in masquerade,

Through shadows where the stars have strayed.

A fleeting gleam, a faith untrue,

Until the heart breaks finally through.
