The Shades
By Inderjot Singh Chadha
The curtain was raised,
The artists were praised.
The gallery had opened,
Every visitor was left stunned.
Fabulous were The pieces of art,
Speed increased, of each beating heart.
All the Shades were so bold,
A new story each had told.
She entered the hall all alone,
Behind her, her gown had flown,
Her face had a wintery glow,
It was like watching the snow.
She was what is called as art,
It was here where it would start,
Seeing her his eyes shone ,
Tale was from before he had grown.
She was his love first,
He was not her choice worst
They hung out for a while,
Only till their fate had a smile.
Gone was she as was his joy,
Years were what had gone by.
Again now she stood before his eye,
His heart said let's make another try.
With an effort huge he said hey,
Going out was she but the voice made her stay.
Seeing him she was joyous,
She still was as serene and pious.
He said In this room full of art,
Our eyes shall not part.
Coz in them is what I see,
The best shade of colors to ever be....
