The Seeker & The Speaker
By Inderjot Singh Chadha
The window had banged against the wall,
The wind wanted to break the fall,
Sitting in front was a soul lost,
A beating heart and his looks aghast
Chiming in, came text a new,
Rhyming in came hopes a few
Shattered the glass, so were the dreams,
Awaiting a smile, while the soul screams
Opening the screen, he found a mail,
Seeing it the face turned pale,
Still with a hope he pressed it open,
Title of it was "wanna have fun?"
Inside it was sitting a link,
Accompanying which resided a wink.
Sender's name said that it has to be won,
Till then it would just be Anon.
Reading this, came out a little smile,
Something that's been missing a while.
His heart now with a new spark,
His brain, looking to push away the dark.
Opening the link, he was amazed,
Towards the screen a minute he gazed.
The screen was strangely blank he had a nod,
Suddenly he saw a dot that looked odd.
Touching it made the screen go black,
Without the light he saw his face,
His face with a hope that he had begun to lack,
His face before he got lost in a maze.
Lost was he in the old trail of events,
Not realising that the screen was up again.
Coming back from the memories with dents,
He saw his effort did not go in vain.
Looking closely he saw a thin line,
After the line were the words mine,
Strangely enough he touched the word,
Suddenly a vibration and a sound was heard.
The sound a giggle, so familiar,
A blurred image with a smile so dear,
So familiar yet it being so strange,
The sound got memories to rearrange
The text, now changing to something new,
Steps to go, now said a few,
Came below a question quick,
For options, it had just a box to tick.
Question had a riddle to view,
Asked about something that's just left due.
Empty was the box and nothing to see,
Left lost in the question was he.
Choosing again he took a leap,
Clicking the box he hoped something deep,
The box was filled up with color green,
It was just like living a dream…
Jumped his heart, skipped a beat,
Another window came up to greet.
"Stranger Mister how are you?,
Hope you're liking something that's new. "
"You bet" is what came out of him,
"Then hope you're ready to get a spin"
The text changed as if it had guessed ,
"You Bet" was a phrase, the favourite of the rest.
Steps to go now Said just two,
Question now asked "who are you? "
Below were options for man or boy,
A blurred memory now leaped up with joy..
Remembering the name widened the smile,
It had regained all vigour and style...
She was the one out of the millions known,
Her heart, bright as when a diamond is shown...
Clicking on boy his fingers crossed,
Fears and worries all aside he tossed...
"So now you remembered" Said the line,
Below written was some text so fine....
Pinching the screen he then zoomed,
Seeing all jumbled words he fumed...
Still, he tried to make some sense,
Giving up was not an option hence....
Unjumbling the words he then read,
Open the door, stop applying your head,
Getting up i rushed to the door,
Hoping to meet what fate had in store...
There was she... shining bright,
In life's dark tunnel she was the light....
Embracing her, he got a tear,
His stagnant life had begun to steer...
Talking on he took a while,
Feelings all were stacked in a pile..
Listening she with patience great,
She then reminded him of the date ...
Years ago a promise was made,
To meet again both hearts had prayed...
Years later, now as life had happened,
Leaving him just shocked and stunned....
Holding her he felt complete,
All the darkness began to deplete....
She was the one both hearts had known,
Distance with time had just grown.
Now the distance was zero again,
This time he won't let it in vain,...
Going down on his knees,
Holding out the ring from his keys...
Will you be mine, was that he asked,
Her facial blush could not be masked...
Speechless she just uttered yes,
Holding her gave meaning to his life's mess....
She was the one, the one to be,
She was the one to set him. Free
She being his light, he being the seeker,
She being his words, he just the speaker
