The Rebirth Of Life

By Aditi Mehendale

The prior phoenix of life;

the life fallen to pieces;

the pieces stifling and smouldering,

the bedlam nightmarish.

In the lurid inferno,

enraged fire causing the brunts,

the aura so desolate,

shattering are the heart and the soul.

Life appears to be extinguished,

when, in vain, seems everything.

The mere instinct that suddenly rises,

flushing away the gloom.

Newborn is the life from ashes;

the ashes of the grief.

Nascent hope that breathes

the fragrance of bliss,

making wings strong suffice,

away flies once again.
