The Poet's Muse

She, who is devoured by a reader,
on a palette of overflowing words,
adorned with the personification of all things pleasing to the mortal senses.
The moon, the star, the streams alike,
she carries the hues of all.
Through her is the desire to reach the ideal perfection,
by a mind, so entangled in the literature of escape;
but she is the progeny of a tragedy enough to inspire.
As every art is a fatal irony,
where one drowns in pain to levitate in realisations.
The poem becomes symbolic of the duality a woman’s life carries,
with the muse being stuck on a pedestal,
beneath are the pages of her heart-wrenching glory.
