The Poem

Original Submission by Kohinoor Shweta Vohra

The poem

I was never your words

I was perhaps the silence in between

The interlude…

where you paused

and the words were chosen

I was the possibility...

of being picked

or left

as you traced the contours of your thoughts

possibility...

of being just a whimsical chatter

dancing and twirling weightlessly

or being carefully poised, positioned in place

I was an ideation..

that did not become your poem
