As I sat down in the jam-packed bus

jolting and volleying

Listening to the music

That caressed the wind

I wonder what it is

Is it the place I feel connected to or is it just the me-Alone

As I went to the school

Saw everyone chatting their partners around

But nobody beside me

I wonder what it is

Is it the place I feel connected to or is it just the me-Alone

Parks outside with scented breeze

I rush back to it again and again

But nobody to walk by

I wonder what it is

Is it the place I feel connected to or is it just the me-Alone

On the sea shore

Waves crashing higher as I see

People surfing to get to the top and race to the beat

I walking by the beach

Staring at the sun ready to set

I wonder what it is

Is it the place I feel connected to or is it just the me-Alone

On the tar of Indian streets

Eating panipuri and chaat

The temperature sweltering hot

But no one to share the spice with

I wonder what it is

Is it the place I feel connected to or is it just the me-Alone

In the plane as I sat

A joy of spark lit inside me

As I walked inside the gates of the house

I had left 5 years ago

I found my hope coming to embrace me

My friends dancing with joy

Is that the place I feel connected to?

And for once my heart said

Yes it is…..
