The Phantom

She was here once again

Much like a phantom in the rain.

When would she arrive anew?

None of them ever knew.

But her spattered presence, just like a breeze

And accompanied silence made everyone freeze.

How she came, no one could ever tell

For her precious secrets, she’d never sell.

All they knew was that she was a ghost

Who in hushed witnessing was most engrossed

She would leave her mark in a subtle way

A simple poem, left on display.
