a feeling settled deep in my chest slowly. but it surely began to fade, like a storm slowly drifting away, leaving behind an unexpected calm. A calm I prayed for.

there had always been tension in the air, a whisper of chills, cold water under the glazing sun, a subtle dissonance I couldn’t shake.

but as time passed, something shifted, and the water grew warmer. it was him. with each conversation, every glance that lingered just a moment too long, the weight that had once seemed so heavy began to lift.

it was as if his presence was a bridge, leading me away from the past and into something new. the feeling was both foreign and familiar, like stepping into the first page of a lifetime. i wasn’t sure i was ready to live yet somehow felt destined to experience. a figure floated behind me, so distant yet so close. Claustrophobia covered me. You distracted it, just long enough for me to escape.
