Of all things I miss

I miss the way you accidentally

called out my name

out of all the siblings

and then giggled at your forgetfulness

I miss Saturday's filled with

your laughter and gossips with mom

I miss having someone who loved

me just like my mother or perhaps

just a little more

I never knew what it felt like

losing someone who meant so much to you

but today I wish I was still unknown to that

I miss you everyday, Mai (Nani)
