The One

I spun dreams

Of lace

For the women

Of taste

They were gushing

They were dreaming

Yearning for the

One

Who will be theirs

But a twist of fate

Stood at my gate

Was the One

For me !!

With his royal steed.

he stood at my door.

Oh! Fair maiden.

What do u need??

I was tongue-tied.

And stupefied.

Thinking about everything.

Just not my need.

But a twist of fate.

Stood at my gate.

Was the One.

For me!!

I stared at him till.

My eyes grew dim.

I never could believe that he could need

a simple dame like me.

he smiled and said madam,

never fear for am a weary traveller.

from Lancashire.

looking for food and a place to stay.

please don't send me away.

But a twist of fate.

stood at the gate.

Was the One.

for me!

It was not wrong.

or he had come from so long

I gave him the food

I kept it for myself with a smile.

Take it, my lord for you have come land afar.

He looked at me with gratitude.

And said Oh! Fair maiden.

I thank thee from the.

Bottom of my heart.

But a twist of fate.

Stood at the gate.

Was the One

for me!!

He wolfed it voraciously.

As though he has not seen.

she told him to take it slow and savour it deep.

a simple fare is all I could keep

he replied it is not fare you served.

Rather it's your heart that touched me deeply.

Fair maiden I dare not ask thee are you alone?

but a twist of fate

stood at the gate.

Was the One

for me!!

Slowly but slyly.

He noticed me

I was flattered and the woman in me.

Saluted to her divine feminine.

Asked him do you come from the land of bards and barons.

And of earls and dukes.

He said yes, my fair maiden

Where we have duchesses and baronesses too

with their skirts swishing

But a twist of fate

stood at the gate.

Was the One

for me!!

I dreamed of balls.

And tall walls.

Of palaces.

With attendants and livery.

I could live like a queen.

Like the world has never seen

but a twist of fate

stood at the gate.

Was the One

for me!!!
