The New Normal- New Times Ahead

She was sitting in front of her laptop

Electricity running through her veins

She could feel the resonances flowing into her body

of her rising aims

She was ready…x2 to weave her wires around

And spin a perfect view

For the world that seemed absurd before, now seemed anew

Her speaker was filled with chaos

That her earphones couldn’t withstand

For her dreams were too big for the people to understand

She sanitized her brain and allowed music to come

She masked her negative thoughts, with a rhythmic hum

Her canvas showed that she was capable of a virtual sweep

For in this lockdown she realized that the net was dark and deep

Where ideas and emotions were captured in apps

In PPts, Slides arranged in Graphic Audio-video wraps

Euphoric she leaped up in the air

Only to be engulfed with a sudden weariness and scare,

Crestfallen, dejected, inconsolable

She moaned – for she soon realized how naïve it was of her to have expected the world to accept her as their own

Lives which should have mattered were left to wither

#Black lives matter was reduced to a slogan on her beloved screen to cheer

Mental health was sneered at even in times so amain

Deaths were swept in numbers casting aside its pain

And yet (x2) she arose from the agony and anguish lingering in her brain

Again Finding comfort in her cocoon of the black mirror that gave her the assurance to reign

Like a phoenix in shambles she gathered her courage

With the mouse, the keypad, the screen at her behest

As she chose to believe

The pandemic might just be the crest of a new world order

With this sanguinity brimming within she sat in front of her screen

To conquer and liberate the world of tweens.
