When I look back to the tales of history- A teacher, a leader, or just a mystery? The expressions of these "good" old days, A victory of truth, or the truth lay slay ?
One man's narrative can be the truth, but is all relative. For the witnesses of these ardent acts, Have seen their last, and with the facts.
The facts, the truth, the tales of yesteryears, Have laid the roads far and near, The wit of reasoning or an instilled hypocrisy? A suffocating life in the warmth and breezy.
What could just be a judgement of the past, a lesson to our tomorrow But still a judgement of today, a reason for the sorrow If past could stay back in its time And let the future dance to its own rhyme!
The bitterness of this mystic truth, Overlooks the destined in its youth. When yesterday declared our today, But there is no today without our yesterday!
To acknowledge to this gruesome past, And shield the storm as a sailing mast, For it is what has shaped the crude,
The today of that mystic truth.
