The Moon And Me

One night,

I questioned the moon..

How was it to never shine in the sky that was bright and blue?

And to let the world see everyday a new you?

How it felt like to live in the shadow of the sun?

Did it hurt your pride or was it easier and somehow fun?

Was it too odd to shine with that borrowed light?

Or was it better ‘cause people could actually talk to you without losing their sight

How is it to be so far but yet somewhat in reach?

How you became a symbol of love and something lovers could preach?

“Was it too much pressure;

Did pretty hurt; Or

Was it too lonely?” , I asked

“You may not always shine and it may even kill your pride,

But if it’s really not your day,

You could always save the night

You may rise like the sun,

But in the darkness it’s ok to ask for some help

So don’t ask me questions, you want answers to for yourself”

And This time,

It was truly The Moon that answered back..
