The Mirror’s Truth

I looked into the glass to see

The man the world believes is me.

I saw the lines, the weary face,

The shadows of a frantic race.

But then the surface seemed to clear,

And all the masks began to disappear.

No form, no name, no heavy tie,

Just the vastness of an open sky.

The mirror broke, the image fell,

Ending the story I used to tell.

And in the shards, I finally found

The youth I thought I’d left behind

A silent truth, without a name,

A wordless mirror, free of shame.
