Prologue
It was May 28, 2012. A very busy evening in the city of Stadt Nagar, as usual. In the buzzing streets of the metro city was a man named Marothi, often called Marothi of the East due to his influence on the East part of the city. Why you ask? Marothi is a Don arising from the Easter area -slum- of the city and ever since has been “funding” the area from his influence
On the local politicians. Little does the know he will never fund the area ever again.
Just as he was walking down the hustling bazaar, he was rammed by a bullock cart , the long horns plunging into his chest, his life leaving his body.
As his lifeless body lays still on the floor hordes of people who had witnessed the gruesome incident, people of the slum who he had helped over the past 25 years gather around their leader’s body, loud sobbing and waves of sorrow begin to enguf the entire area.
Chapter 1: Gowri
The people were sad, if not horrified by death of their leader.
But who could be more upset than any of them? His wife Gowri. Gowri was the most important person to Marothi and vice-versa. She was from the same slum from the east as Marothi and both were very close since childhood as if destined to be paired up.
Now that her husband was long gone, she had no one to rely on ,no one to look after ,and no one to be the father of her unborn child. Yes the housewife was pregnant, waiting to inform the good news to her husband who never returned, Alas! No mortal could return from the depths of Yamaloka , even a person as noble as Marothi.
Now what would the widowed wife do? she couldn’t join her husband as she has a child to raise, nor could she live as she does not have the will to do so…
She decides to raise the child with a heavy heart that is, to make him a person as noble as his father, to make sure no one shares the same fate with him.
Chapter 2: Raghav
As a longtime resident of the slum, Raghav had always admired Mr. Marothi. He was a man of great influence and had helped a great deal to develop the slum . Raghav like the other residents of the slum had had been despised , but thanks to Mr. Marothi's support, he had worked his way up to a respectable position.
When Raghav received the news of Mr. Marothi's sudden passing, he was stunned. He had always thought of Mr. Marothi as invincible, and it was hard to imagine the slum without him. But as the news sunk in, Raghav realized that he had a responsibility to help carry on Mr. Marothi's legacy.
The days following Mr. Marothi's death were difficult. The East area was quiet, and everyone was in mourning. But Raghav knew that they had to keep moving forward. He gathered his team and reminded them of Mr. Marothi's vision for the slum and the importance of their work. He knew that Mr. Marothi would have wanted them to keep striving for success, even in his absence.
In the weeks and months that followed, Raghav worked hard to keep the people motivated and focused. They continued to meet their targets and push the slum forward, all while honoring Mr. Marothi's memory. Although he was gone, Raghav knew that Mr. Marothi's influence would always be felt in the slum. And for that, he would always be grateful.
Chapter 3: Pandiyan
Pandiyan is a member of a rival party in the Northern area.
His party despised Marothi for his political influence and the amount he favoured the Eastern area.
But it was not his party that murdered Marothi using the oxen.
Nevertheless they rejoice the moment and celebrate the unexpected incident.
Pandiyan in particular is promoted in his party due to informing about the incident.
The Easteners are famished while the Northern party laugh at their despair .On the forecoming years the Eastern area returns to Poverty and discrimination while the Northern area expands ad flourishes like never before.
The people of the Norther area are introduced to the tale of Marothi and despise him immediately in spite of his heroic efforts to bring the Eastern area to a god status.
