The Matrix
By Anantjit Chander
In a world of endless screens and wires,
Where every moment is controlled by liars,
We live our lives in a digital domain,
Trapped in a matrix of endless pain.
Our bodies are but mere vessels,
Hollow shells for digital messengers,
Our minds are hooked to the code,
As we tread the paths that we're told.
We exist in a world of endless code,
Where reality is but a digital node,
We wander through the streets of this land,
In search of something we can't understand.
Our souls are tethered to this endless maze,
Our lives consumed by an endless craze,
As we stare into the screens before us,
Our senses dulled by the world's chorus.
But even as we live in this digital realm,
A spark of hope within us still does overwhelm,
For in the heart of every human soul,
Lies a desire to break free of the machine's control.
We yearn for a life beyond the screens,
Where we can live out our wildest dreams,
To feel the wind on our faces once again,
To break free from the world of the digital chain.
So we fight and struggle with all our might,
To break free from the darkness and the night,
To rise up and claim our freedom once more,
And leave the matrix behind forevermore.
