The Masterpiece
By Payal Meria
Women,
oh the flawless women, I know
Dauntless of the night falls,
Prominent like the moon,
Darkness is not on the roads,
Fatuity is in the minds of all,
Own up to the masterpiece you are,
Don't be a fool to sink in love,
For someone who,
Slaughters you for being humble.
Beware, of this hostile world,
You're not a scrap of paper,
The community ought to transform its perception,
You're no ordinary, but a symbol of excellence.
Women, oh women,
A deity that exemplifies celibacy,
The goddess of the world,
With a gracious heart, offered no mercy.
The silence unravels slowly,
The color you wear on your lips,
Pink, purple, or tangerine,
The way you carry your skin,
Fair, brown, or ivory,
Skin-fit jeans, a dress, or a saree,
What you wear on your body,
Need not be ripped on the streets.
Let history be in peace,
It's time to be the ultimate majesty,
The powerful and the supreme,
Dont allow them to engulf,
The masterpiece you've been.
