The Love Requiem

I put the silver down, for I longed to dwell

without a sword crowding me to swell

Of grief and desolation, I've sought to rebel.

To wander bearing a storm of mind, but I, merely an audience, would set to pass by

and circumnavigate in a distance so humble.

As the sun would birth, the moon would crumble

seethed with discrepancy as I suspected

the cheating of mortality the more roots I've selected.

I put the silver down, for the poison lingered on the tips

of the only lush of my lips,

Last standing to seek

a painter's brush stoked on her cheek-

for the woman’s blush easily molded

as a fear of what may come blindfolded

to eternal sleep
