The Love of 1975

In a random alley,

The tandem interaction,

But we both looked back for an incomplete satisfaction.

The eyes met as if searching for light ,

We smiled ‘cause we knew it was right,

The euphoria was asphyxiating me,

Long breaths and locked eyes were killing me,

Never was something so unattainable.

Hooked on to your lips, my eyes became fixed,

Nothing could stir them apart, except if you kissed.

A train of thought in a fraction of time,

For i know, now you will be mine.

Practically dead as I was, until you came closer,

My eyes silencing your words,

Going deaf as you kept walking.

You guilting me for hiding my desires perfectly,

And me tuning it out to look at the dance of your lips.

Until i finally held you strong by the hip,

Couldn’t bear suppressing the firecrackers inside me.

Pushed mine onto yours so you could feel-

The asphyxiating pain you give me.

Not letting them part even if death knocks our bubble,

‘Cause your just one look makes my legs go treble.
