THE LOVE I GIVE

BUT DON'T RECEIVE

I've never loved another the way I love you.

People often say things as grand gestures,

But trust me when I say it, it's true.

I don't know how to feel when you aren't around, Let alone how to function without your presence.

Every day, a tear is shed because I know it hasn't turned out how you imagined. Every day, all I want to do is show you my love, But every day, I mess up.

And then there's a whisper: you will never be enough. It's so loud, it makes my heart race, My breathing stop,

Leaving my body immovable.

But every day I wake up and all I think about is you

How I'm going to make it better,

What to say, what not to say,

Your words echoing so loud that everything disappears but you.

All the times I was too much, Every time breathing felt hard,

Every moment loving me felt impossible,

Every moment of pain I caused you

I am incomplete without you.

It's like I don't exist.
