The Lost Sovereignty
By Hiba Tasneem
It’s a vile illusion of the sovereignty we lost
It’s a shine from the throne of betrayal and fall
A cloak of lost hope, a night which never dies, an offspring which never been alive,
A twilight which never been seen, a flower which never been bloom,
like a simple shining moon, like a beautiful white blossom, like snow appearing fake, like a crystal clear lake
All we once wish for is the sovereignty we lost
Stepping ahead with a bitter mind, he wants to stop this all while reversing the time.
He barely touches a noble heart despise knowing that a lost throne will just be royal dirt.
Crumbling the head of one of us beneath the steps of this immortal curse.
A ray of wicked one, the sovereign of our dying sun.
Soon this empire will fall into the abyss, a deep hell of foreign races.
All they still wish for is the sovereignty we once lost.
The crying of these folk gives pain to these monks.
The tonic is poisonous, the phoenix is anonymous.
They hope a saint but it went in vain.
Ruffling the head of this lone star, the crown must be held on this vicious flower.
The oath we sore the day is to kept the pride by whom by this land laid.
The ones who were crucified are those who were once sanctified.
Monarch marching to the field of death, still these foes have no regrets.
The growl of grim flounce for life. Retreating the rapier, still they didn’t make out alive.
As the veneer lifts up here walks the virago in blood.
They renege the truth, their vanity became their woe.
with an ominous waltz, she twirls her sword. On the breaking dawn, her vengeance shallow up them all.
As it’s the end of our grief it’s our lost sovereignty.
