The Long Dark Silence

What do you do when all the memories flood you

Do you try to close your mind or let them overtake you

How do you react, what do you feel

Or is it by crying that you deal?

What do you do when your mind becomes your enemy

When the hopeless despair that you feel becomes your only destiny

Does it hurt to think and even more to talk

Does it really help when you take a solitary walk?

What do you do when your heart's no longer in what you chose

When instead of joys all you get is chaos

Do you still go on traveling the same dreary old path

Or do you choose your happiness and face everyone else's wrath?

What do you do when no one has the answers

When instead of solutions there are only more questions

Do you look inside yourself for the divine guidance

Or do you just give up and embrace the long dark silence?
