The Little Things

The sun is shining like it’s supposed to,

the tulips are blooming like they were destined to,

the birds are chirping over-powering the noise of the day.

Everything is the same, nothing has changed

But I feel different,

stronger,

brighter,

like everything matters and heaven is not far away.

The angels are fighting the devils

and it feels more like home.

But what happened today that didn’t take place earlier?

Perhaps, it was the early rising for a good day,

or maybe, the change in perspective

from glass half empty to glass half full

from the sun has set to the sun has risen.

It was the little things that made big differences.

And I, will forever be thankful for the darkness

to lead me towards the light.
